Another few weeks of lockdown are upon us, but hopefully some of our new releases will help you to enjoy your time at home!

ROCKDOWN FESTIVAL PACKS

This weekend we're encouraging people to recreate the music festival atmosphere at home, and get involved in Rockdown - a live-streamed music event.

Today we're releasing our Gold and Silver festival packs online - our biggest ever mixed cases, just in time for delivery ahead of Rockdown!

Featuring a curated line-up of Drygate beers and merch, these packs will give you a way better choice of beers than are usually available at festivals. Plus, they include wristbands and sunnies, for the authentic festival vibe, and hot sauce to spice up your home-made snacks.

The Gladeye Gold Pack showcases our unfussy, unpretentious 5.2% Gladeye IPA, and comes complete with a Gladeye wireframe tee, plus 6 cans of our Convergence collab with Rockdown headliners, Cold Years. We're also including a bottle of each of our brand new Spectrum releases (see below) a mix of other Drygate cans, and a pint glass to enjoy them from. No plastic festival glasses here!

The Seven Peaks Silver Pack focuses on our 3.9% Session IPA instead, but we've still included some Cold Years cans, and the same great mix of other Drygate beers. No tee this time - you'll just need to supply your own, or go taps aff. You are at home, after all.

One more thing - we wouldn't be responsible people if we didn't point out that the idea here is not to consume an entire festival pack over the weekend...

SPECTRUM - APRIL 2020

Here's the scoop on our three latest small batch releases - probably the last Spectrums we'll be able to produce now before taking a little break from them. This self-contained trilogy focuses on three classic beer styles, and all are hopped with modern German varieties, bringing a summery, fresh flavour to each of the brews. And just to join them all together, we've named them after lockdown-appropriate songs.

DANCING WITH MYSELF - 6.9% Bock

If you're by yourself, don't sit around idle, get up and get dancing! This strong lager is brewed with bags of malt character - think toast, bread crust, and cinder toffee. Brewer Phil has employed a variation on decoction mashing, whereby a portion of the wort is removed during mashing, and boiled aggressively. This encourages Maillard reactions and caramelisation, infusing an amazing depth of flavour in a simple beer style. Hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, a light orange marmalade flavour brings out the deep toasty notes and adds a zesty freshness to Dancing With Myself.

INSIDE LOOKING OUT- 7.4% Saison

Best enjoyed at your living room window, watching the animals. This dry and refreshing saison is a nod to the historic origins of the style - brewed to sate the thirst of farm workers, spending the day out in the fields during harvest. What we'd give to do the same now... Inside Looking Out features Hallertauer Blanc, a hop variety known for its flavour similarities with white wine. Grape and stonefruit notes complement the pepper and clove character of the yeast.

BETTER OFF ALONE- 9% Tripel

It seems harsh, but right now, it's the truth. Best enjoyed in isolation, Better Off Alone is worth taking your time over. This Belgian-style tripel brings spice, clean biscuit malt, and a light, peppery dry finish. Hopped with a triple-whammy of Mandarina Bavaria, Hallertau Blanc, and Hüll Melon, this strong golden ale has a complex fruit salad aroma, and a warming boozy finish.

COLLECTION

We're pleased to announce that we're now offering collection as an option on our online shop - so if you're local, you'll be able to stop by the brewery to collect your order instead of paying for delivery.

Just select the collection option at checkout, and for orders placed up to 5pm on a Monday, collection will be available between 12-2pm on the Tuesday, while orders placed up to 5pm on Thursday will be available for collection between 12-2pm on the Friday.

Social distancing measures will be in place, and we strongly advise that collections are done as part of a trip you are already making, or as part of a daily walk or run.
