June Releases in Our Online Shop

A cold can of beer on a warm day is often cited as one of life’s greatest pleasures. Under lockdown, with a full news cycle of Coronavirus-related content, it’s all the more important to stop and enjoy the finer things.

This month, we’re releasing four new cans, our latest barrel-aged number, and a brand new table beer, designed to be shared with friends, family, or anyone you’re permitted to while away the hours with. Without further ado, let’s get down to what we’ll be releasing for your drinking pleasure this month.

Releasing This Week

Fourteen Peaks7.5% Mountain IPA

Hold on a second – “wasn’t this released last month?”, we hear you cry. Eagle-eyed fans are correct; we brought you this beer in bottles in May. Aside from the fact that last month feels like a million years ago, this batch of Fourteen Peaks has made the leap to being brewed on our 25HL main kit - and thus comes to you in cans.

We know you love Seven Peaks, so we’ve upped the ante with this version. Each can packs 440ml of this doubled-up concoction, with every mouthful delivering bags of flavour. Mountain IPA is a relatively-unknown style descriptor – in essence a hybrid between West and East coast IPA, but to us it reflects the flavour profile too.

Mosaic, Ekuanot, and Cascade hit you first, creating evocative outdoor aromas of forests, berries and gorse. Crashing waves of caramel malt and smooth, soft wheat follow, adding body. A soft, pine sap bitterness cuts through the finish.

Seven Peaks is our homage to the great Scottish outdoors, and Fourteen Peaks takes this to the next level with mountains to savour in every moment.

Releasing Next Week

Coco Noco6% Coconut Mocha Milk Stout

Orinoco is the most decadent and indulgent of our core range beers; this core range twist takes it in a brand-new direction. Coco Noco builds on that fantastic base with layers of coconutty goodness.

It’s impossibly smooth, with dark malts, oats, wheat, cacao, coffee beans, milk sugar, and vanilla leading the charge on your tastebuds. The warming flavour of coconut becomes a perfect addition to the river of chocolate ganache, caramel latte, and toasted marshmallow.

Orinoco is an incredibly versatile brew, and we’re hoping to bring you more twists on this award-winning favourite in future. We’ll even be calling for your flavour suggestions later in the month on our social media channels, so keep your eyes peeled to add your voice to the brewing process.

Rancho Rosa 4.2% Raspberry and Lemon Rosé Lager

Deconstructing dishes is all the rage right now, so we’ve created a deconstructed Rosé Lager – don’t worry, we’re not planning to give you a handful of yeast and malt with some IKEA-style instructions.

Instead, we’ve identified the traditional flavours at play in a perfectly chilled glass of rosé, teased them apart, and then fitted them into a light and refreshing lager. Raspberry is paired with German hops to bring flavours of berry and stonefruit, then lemon comes in to add bright, citrus acidity. Finally, rice lightens and dries the body to really emulate the essence of the rosé wine.

This is an easy-drinking lager for the summer and we challenge anyone who doesn’t like beer to have a sip – it might just surprise you!

Fire in the Disco5.1% Chili and Mango Pale Ale

In another twist to one of our fan favourites, Fire in the Disco brings a spicy edge to the much-loved Disco Forklift Truck recipe. If you’ve ever sampled a spicy mango chutney or tajin-sprinkled tropical fruit, you’ll know exactly why this flavour combination works.

It’s hotter than the gates of hell, with a high-voltage hit of habañero lighting the fire. This serves to further amplify the juicy mango character of the beer, creating a swirling dichotomy in a can. Caramel malts, tropical hops, and mango puree play perfectly against the warming chili to create a balanced brew.

Chill well and enjoy this beer on a swelteringly hot summer’s day to beat the heat.

BA Arrakis 11% Port Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad

If you enjoyed the barrel-aged madness of last month, then you’re in for another treat! BA Arrakis started life as a cracking Belgian Quad, brewed with candi sugar, nutmeg, orange peel and long pepper. Then, we barrel-aged it for four months in port wine cask. The blisteringly complex result will make any beer aficionado’s mouth water.

Indulgent aromas of date, fig, toffee and liquorice are followed by warming flavours of spiced orange, red wine and currants. The light, bittersweet finish is built on warming oak, structured with mellow tannins, and the high strength is hidden within the rich flavour profile; evident only when it clings to the glass. This is a very grown-up beer.

405.012.8% Galaxy and Mosaic Table Beer

Tafelbier is the predecessor to this style – a low strength, Belgian staple for any dinner table. These beers were brewed to be enjoyed with a meal, with their lower better suited to drinking several in a row.

This is a new series for us, where we will attempt to couple low ABV to big flavour. We’ve named the series after the table that we sit at in our brasserie – number 405.

This is where our team comes together to eat our lunch, plan our next steps, and enjoy each other’s company. It's a place of food, drink, conversation, and good times – even when we're working.

In its first iteration, this beer has been hopped with Galaxy and Mosaic and will come in 500ml and 330ml bottles. We’re already brewing the second iteration (Cascade, Hallertauer Blanc & heather) and we sincerely hope that you enjoy this series with those you hold dear.

We’re looking forward to hearing what you all think about these releases; make sure you join in the discussion on our social media channels. Until then, keep washing those hands and stay safe!
