Drygate is Reopening – Here’s What to Expect

Share Blog

With the recent changes to government advice coming into force this month, we’re looking forward to finally welcoming you all back to Drygate.

While we’d love a full return to normality, it would be irresponsible of us to open our doors without taking precautions to protect our staff and patrons. This means that when you visit us, there will be a few changes and restrictions that we’ll ask you to comply with.

From the 8th of July, we’ll be opening our outdoor spaces – both the yard and the terrace. All being well, we’ll also be aiming to open the Brasserie from the 15th of July. We’ll be open from 12pm to 10pm, Wednesday through Sunday, to start with.

Both areas will be operating on a reservations-only basis, so please only come to visit if you have a booking. You can book in by emailing us at hello@drygate.com or phone us on 0141 212 8815.

Each reservation is for a two-hour time slot – our space is limited so we’re utilising time slots to allow in as many of our guests as possible. We’re accepting a maximum of eight people to a reservation at the moment, but we may revisit it in future if we feel any additional easing of restrictions doesn't feel operationally safe for us.

On arrival, you’ll be asked to log into our Wi-Fi and provide your contact details, which will be stored for up to 21 days before deletion. Aside from allowing you to get into an argument on Twitter at break-neck speed, this also helps us to fulfil our responsibility to ensure you can be contacted by the relevant track and trace teams if needed.

When you’re making your way around the outdoor space, you’ll be directed through a one-way system to allow customers and staff to keep moving, without getting too close to one another.

Our updated outdoor menu is still filled with delicious treats, including casual bites and sharing dishes. To browse the menu, you can go online or request a single-use paper copy from your server.

When it comes to paying, just ask for a card machine – we won’t be accepting cash at this time.

Our staff will be protected by PPE and engaging in regular hand washing between orders. Please be kind to our staff – we know that these changes will make coming to Drygate a different experience, and our staff will be doing their utmost to make it an enjoyable and safe one.

If you have any concerns about your visit, either before or after, please let us know. You can speak to a member of staff during your visit or get in touch by phone or email.

We can’t wait to see you!
