Saturday 17th June 2017 Ray Harris returns to Glasgow Drygate to launch his brand new studio album ‘Propaganda’. Harris’ fifth album to date encapsulates an energetic mix of soul and disco contrasting with profound melodic piano led compositions. Title track ‘Propaganda’ is self quoted by Harris as being lyrically inspired by the current political situation worldwide.

With a career spanning over ten years record releases worldwide include Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Europe. Harris is renowned for his ability to blend a unique mix of Acid Jazz, Latin, Disco and Soul with imprints of a distinctive 60s and 70s style. 2015 soul classic ‘Deep Down Inside’ and Jazz dance floor hit ‘Scaramunga' (Record kicks Europe / P-vine Records Japan) have achieved international radio play including Tokyo FM (Japan) and BBC’s Craig Charles Funk Soul Show and The Jazz House (UK).
Previous support act to the Godfather of Soul James Brown, The Average White Band, Brian Auger, Smoove & Turrell, Jaga Jazzist and MOBO winner Denys Baptiste; Ray Harris performs internationally recently headlining Indonesia’s 37th Jazz Goes To Campus Festival.
Ray Harris has also performed to sold out shows in South East Asia and Europe including acclaimed performances at Penang Island Jazz Festival (Malaysia), Jakjazz Festival (Indonesia), North Sea Jazz Club (Holland), The Hague Jazz Festival (Holland), Mostly Jazz Festival (UK) and Marlborough Jazz Festival (UK).
Ray Harris has presented for BBC Radio and performed live on television including BBC’s Hogmanay New Year Special, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, STV and has featured live in session on BBC 6 Music.
This charismatic Scottish keyboardist and vocalist has created a dedicated fan base and is recognised as a progressive music writer and energetic dynamic performer.

Scotland's finest funksters DopeSickFly open the night, recently shortlisted as one of the top ten bands in Scotland. The lyrically explosive, musically diverse, Funk Rock Hybrid known as Dopesickfly emanate an upbeat feel good vibe inviting everyone to join in with catchy hooks and to dance their hearts out!
Founded in the summer 2015 having busked the streets of Glasgow, the band Dopesickfly jammed and evolved there sounds into that Soulful, Acid Jazz, and Rock fusion with just the right amount of Funk.
There’s a confidence and power to the band’s live set that at times can be mesmerizing.
They are Encouraging & sing of life connecting to all ages of people, making music for the people! Front man Lead singer/poet ANT THOMAZ hailing from Louisiana, Is key to this collective with his Soulful Poetic melodies. The Diverse Scottish members begin with Funk master on guitar Chris Darling with Malagueñas (Flamenco) flavour. Drummer Calum McCrae introduces the Jazz background, while elevating a Neo Soul sound is Joe Djaelani on bass and wrapping up Dopesickfly with her soulful Bluesy vocals is Wendy Rae.
