Business Development Manager

Reporting to: Managing Director

Department: Sales

Location: Field-Based Central Scotland

Travel Requirements: Extensive travel to support customers in the field, and to main brewery site

 

Role Summary

Your role will be the Business Development Manager for Drygate Brewing Company. You will establish and develop brand growth opportunities. Alongside our experienced team, you’ll work with C&C Group sales teams to deliver our annual volume and profitability targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Field brand development of our range of craft beers – identifying new on-trade accounts in which to showcase our products.
  • To be the customer-facing field brand representative for Drygate in the on- and off-trade.
  • Support the execution of the annual brand and activation plans across our portfolio.
  • Liaise and work with external stakeholders to deliver shared distribution and volume targets.
  • Deliver high quality and motivational training on the brand to on-trade staff.
  • Plan and execute customer and consumer events to generate brand awareness.
  • Enthusiastically work towards agreed targets.
  • Act with product and brand passion in everything that you undertake, bringing energy and dynamism to customers and business partners.
  • Work with us in identifying new trends and innovation in the drinks industry, and be aware of our competitor brands in the market.
  • Working hours are generally 9-5, but flexibility will be required as evening and weekend work will be essential to suit the requirements of the trade.
  • Reporting of Quality issues which arise in trade.

  • Customer and consumer event and activation experience.

  • Bar service and cellar management knowledge.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a varied and changing market environment.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proficient in use of IT systems and Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Bar service and cellar management knowledge essential.
  • Degree education preferred.
  • Experience in customer facing role desired.
  • Understanding of supply channels.
  • Full UK driving license.

 

Reimbursement and Benefits

  • Salary up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
